We are seeking a reliable and proactive Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring that security protocols are upheld at all times. If you have strong observational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle situations calmly and professionally, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role: As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
  • Conducting regular patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism
  • Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
  • Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed
  • Completing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns
  • Assisting in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required
  • Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
  • Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
  • Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What we are looking for:

  • To hold a current DS SIA Licence
  • Proven experience in a security role or a similar position
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
