About the Role

The Events Security Coordinator will support the client's Event Security Ops team and manage the overall security operation for events. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities involved in running the client's Events programme including project tracking, stakeholder coordination, resourcing and escalation, and producing pre and post event summary reports. This is a site-based role with flexible working hours as per business demand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-site event security operations for events, manage an operational security team and work alongside stakeholders and partners as required to ensure the appropriate security measures are in place for a safe and secure event.
  • Ensure that the event security teams are appropriately inducted, trained and that they meet all client SLA/KPI criteria.
  • Responsible for collecting crucial security data points relating to events and security requirements, pre- and post-event.
  • Leading meetings with stakeholders to collate information and assess security requirements/needs.
  • Contribute significantly to weekly/monthly stats and reporting.
  • Own the day-to-day management of the client's Events Programme, including project tracking, stakeholder coordination, resourcing and escalation.
  • Produce event security plans and presentations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in an events, research, consulting, risk or business continuity environment.
  • Have previous exposure to events is desirable but not essential.
  • Genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, emerging technologies.
  • Able to form relationships with a wide range of people and strong team player.
  • Ability to understand, summarise and present large amounts of information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, being able to adapt style to meet the needs of the situation.
  • An ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo periodic vetting checks during their employment. This is not a full vetting process, but a routine credit and directorship check carried out every three years to ensure ongoing compliance with our security standards.
