Location: London

Hours: Full time, 4 on, 4 off days – 07:00 – 19:00 and nights 19:00 – 07:00

Pay: £14.35 per hour

About The Role

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
  • Conducting regular patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft or vandalism
  • Monitoring access points, CCTV and handling security procedures
  • Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed
  • Completing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents and any security concerns
  • Assisting in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required
  • Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
  • Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
  • Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What We Are Looking For

  • To hold a current DS SIA Licence
  • Proven experience in a security role or a similar position
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors and authorities
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high‑pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
