This site is a financial institution situated in the heart of Edinburgh. The role is based within the facilities Team, reporting to the Wilson James Security and Facilities Manager and the client's representative on site. The main function is providing onsite security and assurance to our prestigious client located in central Edinburgh, whilst assisting with the facilities management.
About the Role:
You will be an experienced, ultra-professional and very smart officer, more used to dealing with high-end clients in corporate environments. You must be flexible in your approach and willing to cover other roles within the team, including Front of House, which requires the wearing of a dress uniform in a concierge role.
As a Weekend Security Officer you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out a variety of security and facilities tasks as directed by the Security and Facilities Manager and the client's representative on site.
- Supporting the security and facilities operation on site.
- Carrying out security patrols of the external and internal areas with the use of the TrackTik device.
- Monitoring CCTV system.
- Management of on-site contractors.
- Meeting and greeting staff.
- Acting as a first point of contact for all staff requests, sending those requests to relevant people (for example, caretakers or hospitality), or if possible, acting on the requests yourself.
- Working closely with other departments.
- Completing Electronic DOB on a daily basis.
- Taking in deliveries and mail.
- Issuing staff and contractors passes.
- Escorting contractors and visitors when necessary.
- Participating in covering occasional weekend works.
- Locking up the building and setting the intruder alarms on backshift and after weekend works or patrols.

- Excellent IT Skills, including use of Microsoft packages.
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
