We are looking for a Security Officer to join us at our client site in Aberdeen. Our client site is a large international oil and gas company with offices around the world. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security requirements of the client whilst maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism through adherence to directions from the security management team.

A typical day in the life as a Security Officer:

  • Be fully conversant with and comply to all other procedures and Codes of Conduct as detailed in these assignment instructions.
  • Conduct duties for all Security Officers positions as detailed in the assignment instructions.
  • Report all incidents / occurrences immediately to the Security Operations Co-ordinator or Lead Officer.
  • Provide friendly and polite customer service to staff and visitors.
  • Respond to all tasks as requested by the on duty Security Operations Co-ordinator or Lead Officer.
  • Ensure details are correctly logged when the gatehouse is operational and direct visitors to the correct parking.
  • Ensure entry and exit via the loading bay is correctly adhered to and use the intercom system and CCTV to obtain details of the vehicle and driver.
  • Monitor the main staff car park when required and ensure car park details are correctly displayed.
  • When required issue temporary passes to staff and/or contractors via the C*Cure system.
  • Monitor the CCTV security system in the Security Control Room and where required ensure monitoring of any incidents.

What are we looking for?

  • SIA Licence (DS or SG).
  • Deliver excellent customer service and basic IT Skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
