Job title: Logistics Chargehand (Days or Nights)
Location: Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £23.28 per hour
Working Hours: 42 hours per week on average
Working Pattern: Varied,working 12-hour shifts, from 18:00 to 06:00 (night shift) or 06:00 to 18:00 (day shift), on a 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off working pattern.
Note for external applicants: Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment centre, which will take place in Bridgwater on Thursday, 14th August 2025.
As a Logistics Supervisor (Chargehand) your primary role will be to supervise plant movements into designated areas. You will oversee general operatives, ensuring they work safely in accordance with RAMS, DABS, and HPC processes.
You will carry out Daily Activity Briefings and set the team to work you will be responsible for delivering familiarisation, competency training, and toolbox talks and you will keep records for audit purposes.
You will ensure that all areas of work are set up correctly, and have the relevant equipment, documentation and safe walkways. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with the blue- and white-collar workforce. You will be part of a great team, who are supportive and friendly.

- Average of 42 hours per week working on a rotation of 12-hour shifts, 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off
- This role will require a CPCS Traffic Marshal qualification. If you are successful in the role, Wilson James will support you in obtaining this
- Hours worked over 9.75 per day will be paid at an overtime rate
- 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (pro-rata)

Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- SSSTS (to be completed within the first 3 months)
- CITBSupervisory H&S test (must be completed before start date)
- CPCS Card (Traffic Marshal) or willing to work towards
Site Specific Information
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access
