CCTV Officer – Wilson James

Permanent position based in London, 4 on / 4 off hours. Pay £13.85 per hour.

Overview

This role delivers the command‑and‑control function using control‑room systems, processes and procedures at the site‑based control room. It provides proactive and effective security over watch of the buildings and public realm, assists the security team around the perimeter, and detects, denies, deters, delays and reports all suspicious behaviour to mitigate criminal damage, crime, risk and poor behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractor movement and be aware of work permits including lone worker supervision.
• Produce daily security reports, keep accurate notes and relay messages clearly.
• Communicate and coordinate through the chain of command, both upwards and downwards.
• Maintain a secure and comprehensive contacts list for all departmental personnel.
• Manage, mitigate and, when required, investigate all incidents, including gathering electronic evidence.
• Produce all operational documentation in an accurate and compliant format, transmitting all documents and information in a timely secure manner (incident reports submitted within 2 hours).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Demonstrable and proven experience of working in a control‑room environment.
• Consistently meet and exceed the required standards.
• Trained at all building control rooms to ensure best practice and resilience is maintained.
• Deal with visitors in the security control room, providing them with personal service and guidance.
• Excellent customer engagement skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with security surveillance and access control systems.
• SIA – CCTV licence.
