About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Commercial Assistant to support the Deputy Commercial Manager in the day-to‑day running of the site Commercial Team. Based at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, this role contributes to the effective commercial performance and profitability of the Hinkley Point C project.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing project costs and contracts
- Collecting and analysing project data
- Preparing quotations for additional and out‑of‑scope works
- Assembling and submitting monthly payment applications
- Conducting cost/value analysis exercises
- Providing cost advice to clients and project teams
- Supporting the commercial awareness of operational teams, including guidance on annual budgets
- Creating and maintaining visual data presentations, including graphs and charts
- Managing data reporting and tracking performance against agreed KPIs
- Forecasting labour and material requirements
- Assisting with time and attendance queries.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyse large datasets, identify inconsistencies, and spot errors with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports using data from multiple sources
- Experience or ability to manage time and attendance data accurately, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present data in various formats
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar systems
- Experience using time and attendance systems
- Familiarity with financial or commercial reporting processes
- Experience working with large datasets or data reporting tools
- Experience working on large‑scale projects within nuclear or similarly regulated sectors.
Site Requirements
- Ability to provide a 3‑year work/education/unemployment history for vetting
- Ability to obtain an HPC site pass
- Willingness to travel via a bus journey of approximately 45‑minute to/from site.
