We are seeking a proactive and experienced Nightshift Security Supervisor to lead site security operations on a large-scale construction project. This role is responsible for overseeing all nightshift security activities, ensuring site safety, managing access control, and maintaining full compliance with security and health & safety requirements.

About the Role

  • Supervise and coordinate all nightshift security personnel on site.
  • Allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure high standards of conduct and professionalism.
  • Oversee and manage all contractor and staff access and egress during night operations.
  • Manage the handling and processing of all site visitors, late arrivals, and inducted personnel during nightshift.
  • Ensure effective use of all technology-led systems, including access control, CCTV, and digital sign-in platforms.
  • Monitor CCTV and security alerts, ensuring timely response to incidents.
  • Ensure the protection of site assets, materials, and equipment from theft or damage.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, or emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
  • Liaise with emergency services, site management, and stakeholders when required.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Proven experience in a security supervisory role, ideally within construction or logistics environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV systems, and digital reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage incidents effectively.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience on large-scale or high-risk construction projects.
  • CSCS card or knowledge of construction site safety protocols.
  • Experience managing nightshift or out-of-hours operations.
