Pay: Β£47,700.00 annual pay
Join Our Team as an Aviation Security Instructor. You will be required to train Security Officers to the CAA Ground Security Operatives (GSO) syllabus, and to train Team Leaders, Supervisors and Duty Managers to the CAA Ground Security Supervisor (GSS) and Aviation Security Manager (ASM) syllabus. The role involves monitoring, mentoring and auditing performance, providing the highest level of training and coaching to all levels of security staff. You will also maintain all documentation associated with staff training and support the Head of Training to ensure training material is continuously updated and complies with the CAA Quality Assurance Framework.
Responsibilities
- Keep full and complete training records for all learners to ensure they are effective in their roles and meet all regulatory, legal, Wilson James and Aviation entity requirements.
- Ensure all training materials meet the CAA Quality Assurance Framework.
- Develop the DfT training syllabus and implement measures contained in the CAA Quality Assurance Framework.
- Deliver Aviation Security GSO Courses, GSS Courses, ASM Courses, Initial and Recurrent Training, DNXCT, Computer Based Training and GSAT Courses.
- Deliver all security training as required and ensure all certificates associated with this training are supplied to HR files and local managers as applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to meet all vetting requirements.
- Proven background in aviation security training.
- Thorough knowledge of the NASP and related directives as contained in the mandatory qualification courses.
- Ability to maintain and develop positive working relationships within the organisation and with 3rd parties.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Experience of issue and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work under own initiative, making decisions.
- Competence on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificated Instructor Number.
- Teaching Qualification equivalent to Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
- DfT Aviation Security Manager (ASM) Training.
- Current RFX Certification.
- Formal / Informal Training for Assessment.
- Formal / Informal Training for Quality Assurance.
- Full Driving Licence.
