We are Wilson Gunn, a leading firm of patent and trade mark attorneys. With offices in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Chesterfield, Liverpool and London, our clients range from aspiring start-ups and SMEs through to multinational corporations and internationally renowned brands. We are now looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our head office in Manchester on a permanent, full-time basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of our marketing and communications activity, helping keep ideas flowing, content fresh, and campaigns moving. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you’ll get first‑class experience supporting marketing and business development objectives, from researching prospects and spotting industry trends to helping plan and deliver events. You’ll play a key role in keeping communication clear and consistent, while maintaining accurate records and supporting both internal and external messaging.

Additionally, you will:

  • Help to plan and deliver internal and external events
  • Support PR and news content for the website
  • Identify networking opportunities and share these with fee earners
  • Track and help improve social media and website analytics
  • Support internal communications and external communications

About You

To join us as a Marketing Assistant, you will need:

  • A high level of digital proficiency with strong IT literacy, including MS Office (PowerPoint) and social media platforms
  • Outstanding attention to detail, combined with creativity and digital savviness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills

Any prior marketing experience is highly valued, as are relevant qualifications (CIM, degree, etc.). Competency in Adobe, Canva and AI tools would also be beneficial.
