Engineering Manager with a fast-growing SaaS business in the healthcare space. This is a hybrid role, based in London two days a week.
As an experienced Engineering Manager, you’ll be joining the business at a pivotal growth stage. Our client has tripled their team in the past year and is now focused on scaling its engineering culture and capabilities, with the backing of leading investors.
This role offers the opportunity to help develop and shape data-driven clinical tools that transform healthcare.
The business is looking for a high-impact Engineering Manager to help lead this transformation to a scale-up: guiding teams, setting the pace, and helping shape a high-performance engineering culture from the ground up.
This role would best suit someone who thrives in high-growth environments, knows how to build at pace without sacrificing quality, and wants to grow into a VP of Engineering.
About the role
- Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced setting
- Coach engineers in developing their skills and build structured growth paths across the team
- Drive delivery with a focus on speed, quality, and accountability
- Raise technical standards in code, architecture, and best practices
- Shape a strong engineering culture during a critical scale-up phase
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Ops
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent
About you
- Several years’ experience leading engineering teams in fast-growing startups or scale-ups
- Excited by the challenge of developing and scaling a team in a high-growth environment
- A track record of building performance-driven teams with high trust and output
- Comfortable operating hands-on when needed, while empowering others
- Hands-on experience with Python, React, cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes
- Strong product mindset – focused on outcomes, not just output
- You thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
