Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our clients team on a temporary basis in Edinburgh. This role involves multi-drop deliveries of bulk food products to commercial customers across Scotland, with an emphasis on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Please note that this is a physically demanding role, involving heavy lifting during loading and unloading, however, you will be working alongside a drivers mate, who will assist with loading and unloading at delivery points.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure accurate paperwork
- Deliver goods to commercial clients, adhering to delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 1 year of class 2 experience
- Strong work ethic and good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
