Software Engineers with strong backend experience working with Node.js & TypeScript are required by an expanding GreenTech start-up based in Central London. You will be joining an expanding, experienced engineering team working with TypeScript, Node.js, Go, and AWS. They have excellent funding and they are already profitable! This would suit engineers who have gained excellent foundations and now want to grow with a business.

In order to be considered for this role you should have good knowledge of authentication mechanisms and experience in web/data scraping.

Location: Central London

Hybrid policy: 3 days per week onsite.

Salary: Up to £70,000 per year (depending on experience) + Stock Options.

As a Software Engineer you will have a strength in backend development, working with Node.js, TypeScript and an interest in working with Go. Experience with Node.js & TypeScript will be essential; however, Go is highly desirable. A large focus of your work will be integrating with third-party APIs, data & web scraping and authentication protocols.

The founders of the business are experienced and successful entrepreneurs. You will be working in a team of 10 software engineers. The current team is diverse and highly experienced. They are now looking for engineers with approx 3-5 years experience who want to grow with the business. The engineering team is going to be expanding throughout the year, so there will be plenty of opportunity to take on additional responsibility.

Software Engineer Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience working as a Software Engineer
  • Strong experience working with Node.js & TypeScript.
  • Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs, including REST and GraphQL
  • Solid knowledge of Authentication protocols
  • Practical experience in data extraction and web scraping techniques
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and deployment models
  • Able to work onsite in Central London 3+ days per week
  • Inquisitive, driven and a love for problem solving!

Bonus Points:

  • Personal or commercial experience with Go or an interest in learning.
  • You may have strong academics, or you may be self-taught. Your drive, logic and achievements are of greater interest to us!
