Our client is the UK arm of a leading European tax advisory group. Launched recently with a team of highly experienced tax professionals, predominantly ex-Big 4, they are growing fast, from 20 people today to 100+ over the next 12–18 months. They are hiring their first dedicated IT professional in the UK to own their technology operations and help them scale.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, ownership‑heavy position for someone who gets things done of their own back. You'll be the go‑to for everything IT in their London office - from M365 administration and device procurement to onboarding new starters and building out internal systems as they grow. This isn't a purely strategic architecture role, but you'll need genuine technical depth - particularly across Azure, M365, and cyber security - combined with the pragmatism to keep things running smoothly day to day.

What You'll Own

  • Microsoft 365 administration and day-to-day IT support
  • Azure tenant management and Entra ID / identity administration
  • Cyber hygiene - patch management, MFA compliance, device encryption, and incident response
  • New starter setup - accounts, access, devices, and permissions
  • Password manager and software licence administration
  • Equipment procurement and device logistics
  • Defining SharePoint structure and internal documentation
  • Liaison with the wider Group IT function in Europe

What We're Looking For

  • Solid M365, Azure, and Entra ID experience
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and core InfoSec protocols
  • A proven self-starter - you spot a problem and fix it, you don't wait to be told
  • Experience supporting a fast-growing or startup environment
  • Comfortable being the sole IT professional in the business
  • Based in or able to commute to Central London 4 days a week

Why This Role?

  • Ground‑floor opportunity to build and shape an IT function from scratch
  • Real scope to grow a team as the business scales to 100+
  • AI‑first business backed by an established European group
  • High‑calibre, collaborative team of ex-Big 4 professionals
