Trading from a modern central location, they have a great reputation for customer service, a high quality fleet of equipment, and a prestigious track record of major projects, supplying a number of growing markets. With the right leader, this business could expand considerably. There will be freedom to trade in an autonomous environment with no bureaucracy and the support of the owner.
Potential candidates should have:
- A successful track record of profitably running and growing a specialist capital equipment sale and hire business, as Managing Director or another senior leadership role, ideally with a commercial bias. Specific experience in their exact products is not essential.
- The ability to successfully operate in a growing SME company environment.
- A proactive, inquisitive, common sense approach.
- Positive communication skills and a willingness to roll sleeves up while always looking for opportunities to improve the business.
- A customer-facing attitude and enjoyment in doing this. Knowledge of various industrial markets is an advantage.
- A self-starter who can operate at pace, making decisions in a confident manner – no procrastination here please!
- Energetic, creative, resilient, and tenacious, willing to embrace the challenge.
- Leadership of the highest calibre: inspire, lead, motivate, and engage with people throughout the business.
- Commercially and financially aware.
You will own the P&L and be responsible for creating and delivering the strategy to achieve this. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the South Midlands.
