We are partnering with a well-established, privately owned B2B distribution business with a strong reputation for service, product quality, and long-standing customer relationships.

With a solid platform in place and significant market opportunity ahead, the business is now seeking to appoint a Sales Director to lead the next stage of commercial evolution. This is a high-impact role focused on transforming a successful but largely relationship-led sales function into a more structured, data-driven, and scalable commercial engine.

  • Defining and delivering a clear, multi-channel sales strategy
  • Building a disciplined and repeatable sales operating model (pipeline, forecasting, CRM, KPIs)
  • Driving growth across a diverse customer base, including larger and more complex accounts
  • Leading, developing, and shaping a mixed-capability sales team
  • Improving commercial performance through greater structure, accountability, and insight

The successful candidate will bring a track record of delivering growth within a B2B/trade/DIY Retail multi-channel environment, alongside experience of building or transforming a sales function. You will combine strong commercial instincts with the ability to introduce structure, pace, and discipline, without losing the importance of relationships in the sales process.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a transformation mandate within a business that has strong foundations, clear ambition, and the appetite to scale. Whilst the role involves national travel, candidates will ideally live between Birmingham, Bristol/Cardiff and Oxford for ease of access to the Head Office where presence is required circa twice a week.
