Overview
JOB TITLE: Counter Sales / Warehouse Operative with driving duties
LOCATION: Ballymena
RESPONSIBLE TO: Branch Manager
SALARY: Competitive
WORKING HOURS: 42 hours per week
Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4.45pm
Friday, 7.30am to 3.00pm
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for processing orders, ensuring these are ready for despatch and carrying out deliveries in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Processing telephone orders and serving customers.
- Checking in deliveries, putting stock away in the correct location, loading delivery vehicles and carrying out deliveries.
- Provide quotes to customers over telephone or in person.
- Receive & put away stock.
- Prepare orders for despatch.
- Invoices
- Process cash payments from customers.
- Forklift duties as required (training will be provided if necessary).
- Support the team during busy periods, holidays, sickness etc by undertaking general administration duties.
- Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post which the Company deem to be within the post holder’s competence. Operational requirements of the business may dictate that overtime may be required.
Essential Criteria
- GCSE\’s including English Language & Maths at Grade A to C (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar trade counter role delivering excellent customer service.
- Full Clean driving license
Desirable
- Fork Lift Truck license
- Builder merchants sales experience
