Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities:

  • As our Paid Media Manager, you'll own the hands-on planning, management and optimisation of paid media accounts across multiple Wilmington brands.
  • Creating and delivering paid media strategies across a portfolio of market-leading brands.
  • Managing and optimising campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn and Meta.
  • Owning budget management, bid strategies and overall campaign performance.
  • Analysing results, reporting on performance and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Marketing Ops & Analytics to ensure accurate tracking, attribution and reporting.
  • Partnering with marketing and commercial teams to align paid media activity with business goals.
  • Leading and developing a Paid Media Executive, providing coaching and guidance on best practice.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, platform developments and new opportunities to improve performance.

This is a genuinely hands-on role with plenty of scope to shape strategy! You'll have ownership of paid media performance across a portfolio of market-leading brands, giving you the chance to influence decisions and test new approaches. Alongside leading and developing a Paid Media Executive, you'll play a leading role in how paid media evolves across Wilmington plc.

What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?

With responsibility for multiple brands, audiences and budgets, you'll need to balance competing priorities while maintaining strong performance across the board. You'll be expected to make commercial decisions, challenge thinking when needed, and use data to guide strategy.

Essential and desirable capabilities:

  • A solid background in paid media/ PPC, with a strong track record of managing and optimising campaigns.
  • Confidence managing campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Experience in developing paid media strategies and delivering measurable performance improvements.
  • Experience managing significant advertising budgets and making data-driven investment decisions.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using GA4, Salesforce, Power BI and Marketo.
  • A solid understanding of lead generation, attribution and key paid media performance metrics.
  • Experience working across B2B and/or B2C campaigns, ideally within regulated sectors.
  • Previous people management experience, with a passion for supporting and developing others.
  • A commercially minded, organised and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
