Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

As our Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver accredited and bespoke health and safety training courses, both face-to-face and online.
  • Mark assessments from training, as required.
  • Conduct NEBOSH Open Book Exam Closing Interviews.
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports.
  • Assist with the development of new training materials.
  • Participate in moderation and quality checks of training delivery.

As our Consultant, you will:

  • Visit clients to assess their needs, providing expert advice on occupational health and safety.
  • Conduct consultancy work including audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
  • Provide sound written advice on health and safety law and best practices.
  • Prepare and proofread health and safety documentation.
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships, identifying new business opportunities where appropriate.

What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?

Travel is a key part of the role, as you will be delivering training sessions across England. We will work with you to schedule sessions efficiently and minimise travel demands where possible.

Essential and desirable capabilities

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • TechIOSH (minimum) IOSH membership
  • A Level 3 Adult Teaching qualification
  • A solid background in delivering training sessions to clients
  • NEBOSH qualifications (NEBOSH National General Certificate minimum)

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

  • Consultancy experience
  • Experience delivering IOSH and NEBOSH courses
