Shared Services Institutional Client Onboarding Associate – UK, London
Overview:
Supports client onboarding activities such as Account Opening, KYC (Know Your Customer), and Funding within the Wealth and Institutional Services Division\’s (WISD) Global Capital Markets business. Responsible for key disciplines within the Centralized Account Opening Section (CAOS) for specific product subsets.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Open and code accounts on the bank’s accounting platform.
- Analyze inputs to determine actions; manage conflicting priorities.
- Communicate with internal and external partners.
- Escalate high-risk or non-standard issues.
- Manage workload to meet service standards.
- Report risks, breaches, and suspicious activities.
- Support process improvements.
- Interpret data to perform complex tasks.
- Work with clients and staff on requirements like CIP and CDD.
- Review documents and complete KYC activities.
- Adhere to risk, regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Promote a supportive environment reflecting the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain internal controls and support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years of higher education and/or work experience.
