Salary: £27,825-£30,314 pa FTE plus interrupted lunch allowance of £915.75 pa

Pension: Employer Pension Contributions of 20.5% (LGPS)

Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round 8am-4pm Monday - Friday

We are looking to welcome a Premises Assistant to support in the day to day operations, maintenance, and security of the school site, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors at all times. Working as part of a supportive and community-focused team, the Premises Assistant will undertake a wide range of practical duties, including basic maintenance, compliance checks, site security, and event support, contributing directly to the smooth and efficient operation of the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, reliable, and hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and has a strong commitment to high standards of health & safety and safeguarding. The role requires good practical/DIY skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the school environment. A full, clean driving licence is essential for this role, along with a willingness to undertake further training, including minibus driver training.

Assessment Process: Candidates will be shortlisted in line with the requirements outlined in the Person Specification. Those shortlisted will be invited to attend a selection process which will include a practical skills assessment based on key elements of the role, followed by a panel interview. This process is designed to ensure candidates have the practical ability, knowledge, and approach required to succeed in this important role within the school community.
