Salary: £27,825-£30,314 pa FTE plus interrupted lunch allowance of £915.75 pa

Pension: Employer Pension Contributions of 20.5% (LGPS)

Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round 8am-4pm Monday - Friday

We are looking to welcome a Premises Assistant to support in the day to day operations, maintenance, and security of the school site, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors at all times. Working as part of a supportive and community-focused team, the Premises Assistant will undertake a wide range of practical duties, including:

  • Basic maintenance
  • Compliance checks
  • Site security
  • Event support

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, reliable, and hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and has a strong commitment to high standards of health & safety and safeguarding. The role requires good practical/DIY skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the school environment. A full, clean driving licence is essential for this role, along with a willingness to undertake further training, including minibus driver training.

Assessment Process: Candidates will be shortlisted in line with the requirements outlined in the Person Specification. Those shortlisted will be invited to attend a selection process which will include a practical skills assessment based on key elements of the role, followed by a panel interview. This process is designed to ensure candidates have the practical ability, knowledge, and approach required to succeed in this important role within the school community.
