What's the Best Thing About This Role?
You'll have the opportunity to shape something that's still being built. Rather than inheriting an established proposition framework, you'll have the freedom to identify opportunities and bring forward new ideas, helping us develop offerings that stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?
Mercia has a strong portfolio of products and services, but we haven't traditionally packaged or bundled them in a strategic way. You'll be responsible for helping us identify what the market wants, where the opportunities lie, and how we can bring our offerings together to create more value for customers.
Essential and desirable capabilities
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience in product management, proposition management, portfolio management or commercial product roles.
- Strong understanding of product strategy and customer value propositions.
- Experience developing customer-focused offers, packages or service propositions.
- Ability to influence and work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
- Experience using customer insights and data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
- Experience in professional services, compliance, training, software or information services sectors.
- Experience managing product portfolios rather than individual products.
- Knowledge of segmentation, pricing and packaging strategies.
- Experience supporting go-to-market activities.
We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
