Wilmington Events is a specialist provider of events in the global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) sector. We are looking for an experienced Event Producer to help scale existing events, launch new formats and drive further commercial growth across our insurance and compliance portfolios.
Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead Producer – ICA Virtual Events
- Analysing audience data, financial performance, feedback and competitor landscapes to inform event strategy.
- Conducting detailed telephone research (30+ interviews per event) to validate content, format, pricing, timing and geography.
- Presenting research findings clearly to demonstrate commercial viability.
- Establishing and managing industry advisory boards where appropriate.
- Writing high-quality, commercially viable conference programmes and awards categories.
- Identifying, inviting and confirming high-calibre speakers and judges.
- Working closely with ICA brand teams to ensure content relevance and leverage industry relationships.
- Proposing new event ideas, formats and future launches to drive growth.
- Building strong relationships with industry stakeholders, speakers and sponsors.
- Co-Producer – Axco Events
- Supporting delivery of Axco’s flagship events.
- Supporting portfolio and event strategy execution.
- Researching and securing senior-level speakers and judges.
- Supporting agenda development and validation.
- Writing compelling marketing copy for websites, emails and social media.
- Collaborating with marketing, sales and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
What’s the Best Thing About This Role?
Initially, you’ll work closely with our Head of Production in co-producing Axco’s events, and after 12 months you’ll take full ownership of this portfolio. You’ll have the freedom to innovate and see your ideas come to life across our different event formats, brands, and markets.
What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?
Managing multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines while delivering commercially successful events in fast-moving, highly regulated markets.
Essential and Desirable Capabilities
- A solid background in commercial conference production.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting ability.
- Proven project management capability.
- Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of P&L and event KPIs.
- Confidence conducting telephone-based research.
- Experience producing virtual events.
- CRM experience (Salesforce, MS Dynamics or similar).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
