Why Do We Want You

Wilmington Events is a specialist provider of events in the global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) sector. Operating as a central business within Wilmington Plc, we work with our brands to deliver market‑leading conferences, awards, virtual events and bespoke client experiences.

Following three years of double‑digit growth, successful launches and portfolio expansion, we are looking for an experienced Event Producer to help scale existing events, launch new formats and drive further commercial growth across our insurance and compliance portfolios.

In this role, you will co‑produce a portfolio of insurance events and lead the development of a new series of virtual conferences for the International Compliance Association (ICA). You will be responsible for validating new event ideas, producing compelling agendas, recruiting high‑calibre speakers and judges, and ensuring events achieve their commercial and customer objectives.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across multiple event formats and geographies, producing flagship events for leading brands including ICA and Axco, while avoiding repetitive, cookie‑cutter production cycles.

Please note: To complete your application, you will be redirected to Wilmington Plc’s career site.

At Wilmington Plc, we celebrate individuality and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace. As a Disability Confident employer, we shortlist all applicants who meet the essential role criteria and guarantee an interview for candidates with disabilities who meet these criteria. For reasonable adjustments or to apply under our interview guarantee scheme, please use the contact details provided once you have clicked apply.

  • Write high‑quality, commercially viable conference programmes and awards categories.
  • Identify, invite and confirm high‑calibre speakers and judges.
  • Work closely with ICA brand teams to ensure content relevance and leverage industry relationships.
  • Propose new event ideas, formats and future launches to drive growth.
  • Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, speakers and sponsors.

Co‑Producer Axco Events

Working alongside the Head of Production to support delivery of Axco’s flagship events:

  • Axco Global Insurance Summit
  • Axco Global Insurance Awards

What’s the Best Thing About This Role

You will work on flagship events for globally recognised brands in governance, risk and compliance, with the freedom to innovate, launch new formats and build events that genuinely serve their audiences.

What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role

Managing multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines while delivering commercially successful events in fast‑moving, highly regulated markets.

What We’re Looking For

  • A solid background in commercial conference production.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting ability.
  • Proven project management capability.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of P&L and event KPIs.
  • Confidence conducting telephone‑based research.
  • Experience producing virtual events.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, MS Dynamics or similar).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
