Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers in the waste and recycling industry.
Account Growth & Retention: Drive account growth by identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling services, while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. Conduct site visits and audits to understand customer requirements and provide customised services & equipment solutions. Drive the sales of baling and compacting equipment to customers.
Strategic Planning: Develop account strategies and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each key customer, with a focus on improving customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
Problem-Solving: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with customers, ensuring favourable terms for both the customer and the company.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, customer service, accounts, depot & operations, transport) to ensure seamless delivery of services to customers.
Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management on key account performance, project status, and opportunities for improvement.
Additional duties: Undertake other tasks and responsibilities outside the above, depending on business needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in Account Management/Sales – Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the waste management or recycling industry.
- Product Knowledge – Understanding of waste disposal, recycling, and environmental compliance regulations is desirable.
- IT Proficiency – Competence in CRM software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and other relevant digital tools.
- Commercial Awareness – Understanding of business operations, pricing strategies, and market trends.
- Full UK Driving License – Required for customer visits and site inspections.
