As a Key Account Manager, your primary focus will be managing and nurturing relationships with our most valued customers.
Your role will involve working closely with the customers to understand their needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers in the waste and recycling industry.
- Account Growth & Retention: Drive account growth by identifying opportunities for up‑selling and cross‑selling services, while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Conduct site visits and audits to understand customer requirements and provide customised services & equipment solutions.
Drive the sales of baling and compacting equipment to customers.
- Strategic
Planning: Develop account strategies and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each key customer, with a focus on improving customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Problem‑Solving: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with customers, ensuring favourable terms for both the customer and the company.
- Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally with internal teams (sales, customer service, accounts, depot & operations, transport) to ensure seamless delivery of services to customers.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management on key account performance, project status, and opportunities for improvement.

- IT Proficiency – Competence in CRM software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and other relevant digital tools.
- Commercial Awareness – Understanding of business operations, pricing strategies, and market trends.
- Full UK Driving Licence – Required for customer visits and site inspections.
