About the role: Our client, a global leader in intralogistics and automation solutions, is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join their resident maintenance team at a busy e-commerce distribution centre. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining and optimising site performance. You’ll deliver high-quality preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide expert support to the Shift Manager. Working alongside a team of maintenance technicians, you’ll ensure maximum equipment availability while upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance.
Skills & Experience:
- Apprenticeship-trained or qualified to ONC/HNC, BTEC, NVQ Level 3+, or Degree level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with automated systems (e.g. conveyors, sorters, cranes, robotics, or similar).
- Knowledge of PLC / control systems, WCS/WMS, or SCADA is desirable.
- Familiarity with CMMS / PPM systems.
