About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Procurement Assistant to join our clients team and provide exceptional procurement support across the business on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement support and guidance to the UK business in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate vendor information within the ERP system (Microsoft Navision).
  • Monitor and review Vendor Payment Terms to ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage the relationship with our SSIP provider (Alcumus) and ensure contractor compliance with SafeContractor and SafePQQ.
  • Review and map end‑to‑end procurement processes.
  • Assist with the administration of company vehicles and cash allowance schemes.
  • Create and set up new vendors within the system.
  • Review vendors based on usage, category, and risk.
  • Work with the procurement team to analyse spend, pricing, discounts, and rebates.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to ensure system information remains up to date.
  • Monitor and report on spend via the Adhoc account.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, or similar role.
  • Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work at pace and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
