About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an automated warehouse based in Northampton. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the fast flowing material handling equipment as well as:
- Delivery of key service elements such as planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and fault eradication
- Ensure all aspects of their working day are logged as per the agreed method
- Fully interact with the customer in day-to-day activities
- Identify and resolve issues with the materials handling equipment, including identification of root causes, working proactively with the customer operations team
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and submit proposals
- Effectively communicate throughout the SSI team and with the customer
Requirements:
- ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering
- Recognised cross training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering or vice versa
- PLC knowledge and experience is advantageous
- Health and Safety Qualifications desirable
- Experience of automated materials handling equipment
- Ability to work at height
- Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable
- Good team working skills
