We have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Value Assistant to join our site team on a full time, permanent basis. Supporting the Community Liaison Officer and working with the Employment and Skills Co-ordinator and the project team, this role is to deliver and monitor the impact of our social value on our Civil Engineering project in the A9 Dualling, Perth and Kinross area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the social value plan for the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and outcomes.
  • Provide updates to the Community Liaison Officer.
  • Assist with engagement events.
  • Co-ordinate school outreach and STEM initiatives to promote careers in the sector.
  • Prepare and input into monthly reports for Management and Clients.
  • Integrate and involve the supply chain in achieving community benefits and employment and skills delivery plans.
  • Lead Stakeholder Engagement and Public Liaison requirements as required.
  • Champion good ideas with regards to corporate social responsibility and charitable work in the community.
  • Act as an organisational champion for Equality and Diversity in achieving Employment and Skills targets.
  • Supporting the Community Liaison Officer and Employment and Skills Co-ordinator to ensure a high quality service is delivered.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Community Development or sustainability.
  • Full valid driver’s licence essential (travel involved on occasion).
  • A Confident and enthusiastic People-Person.
  • Passionate about social responsibility.
  • Ability to lead project teams in achieving employment and skills targets.
  • Good at networking and collaborating with local interest groups and employment schemes.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Organised and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in the construction or Civil Engineering industry is advantageous.
