We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Liaison Officer to serve as part of our continued growth and commitment to creating positive, lasting relationships with the communities we work in. We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Liaison Officer to support our projects across Scotland. Working closely with our highways and infrastructure teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring local communities are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the delivery of urban road, footway, and cycleway projects. You will be a key point of contact for stakeholders and help drive excellence in our social value and community benefit initiatives.
Duties
- Act as the primary liaison between construction projects and local communities
- Work closely with site management teams to implement community engagement plans and resolve challenges or delays
- Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, ensuring a high standard of customer care
- Respond to enquiries from residents, stakeholders, and third parties in a timely and professional manner
- Draft and manage communication materials, including newsletters, advance works notifications, engagement plans, and project information boards
- Coordinate and attend community events such as meet-the-contractor sessions, careers fairs, and school engagement activities
- Monitor, report, and track community benefit KPIs and contribute to monthly reports for management and clients
- Support employment, skills, and community benefit delivery plans by engaging the supply chain
- Promote corporate social responsibility and charitable initiatives within local communities
- Provide administrative support to site teams as required
