A lovely, busy family living in leafy Wimbledon are looking for an active, high-energy and enthusiastic nanny to join their household in a shared-care role with Mum. The family have three children: a baby aged 8 weeks, a 3-year-old who attends nursery three mornings a week, and a 5-year-old who is at school full time.
The role is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7.30am–7pm, and Friday from 7.30am–6pm, making this a four-day week. The family are offering £22–£23 gross per hour, depending on experience.
This is a warm, happy and busy household, and they are looking for someone who is cheerful, kind, positive and bubbly, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for family life.
The role will involve working closely alongside Mum, particularly with the baby while they are still very young. As this is a shared-care position, the nanny will not be solely responsible for the baby’s complete care at this stage. There will be some involvement with the baby’s routine, including bottle preparation and maintenance, nappy changing and assisting with routines.
The nanny will also take responsibility for the older children throughout the day, including school and nursery runs, taking them to activities, arranging playdates and spending lots of time playing and engaging with them both indoors and outdoors. The family are looking for someone who is genuinely active and enjoys getting out and about with the children.
A key part of the role will be preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children, so someone who enjoys cooking and is confident preparing fresh, healthy family food would be ideal.
The family have a cleaner for two full days each week, so this is primarily a childcare-focused role rather than a housekeeping position. The nanny will, however, be expected to help keep the children’s areas tidy and support the general routines of a busy family home.
The ideal candidate will have good experience working with children of different ages and be confident around babies and older children. They should be in good health, active and physically energetic, with a warm and nurturing nature. Most importantly, the family are looking for someone who is kind, positive, reliable, enthusiastic and fun, and who will become a trusted and valued part of the family.
A driver is not essential. This would be a lovely opportunity for an experienced, energetic nanny who enjoys being active with children and would thrive in a warm, busy family environment while working closely alongside Mum.
