Willowbrook Lytham is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Care Supervisor. You will receive a thorough induction and training and be mentored by the Registered Manager with an opportunity for formal qualifications and progression, alongside an attractive on-call enhancement on top of a competitive hourly rate.

The applicant for this new and exciting significant role must be caring, dedicated and flexible, possess a ‘can do’ approach and attitude, be motivated to succeed, and have the skills to inspire and cultivate the care team.

Job specification

The key to being successful in this position is experience, enthusiasm, motivation and work ethic.

  • Visit nominated adult clients, and at times, be directed by care coordinators and management.
  • Provide personal care to the people we support and care for.
  • Provide medication, meals/drinks, repositioning and domestic support.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Complete reviews of the person’s needs and ensure the care plan is updated.
  • Liaise with the Registered Manager and the Care Plan lead regarding personalised care plans and risk assessments to ensure care is provided safely and in line with their needs.
  • Assist the coordinator to ensure that rostering is carried out efficiently enabling the carers to spend the allocated time with each individual and allow sufficient time for travel.
  • Complete support visits, and competencies and provide in-the-field support.
  • Ensure any changes to the person we support, or carer’s needs and availability are communicated to all relevant parties quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure all changes are recorded as per Company procedure.
  • Fully comply with Company policies, procedures and approved practices, and promote the aims of the Company.
  • Participate in induction training and regular in-service training programmes, as directed by managers or supervisors.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Health & Social Care sector in addition to a minimum QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • IT skills are essential due to various administrative tasks and future digital care development (Microsoft 365 preferable).
  • Knowledge of access (preferable).
  • A positive and can-do attitude.
  • Be committed to the role.
  • Be tactful and patient.
  • Be creative and proactive.
  • Understand how people learn, and have an interest in helping people develop their skills.
  • Have good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Be passionate about furthering your knowledge and expertise.
  • Must be detail-driven and able to complete thorough handovers both verbal and written at shift end.
  • You must possess a full driving licence and have suitable transport.
