Willowbrook Medical Practice is seeking a motivated, patient‑centred Salaried GP to join our supportive and forward‑thinking team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well‑established training practice with a strong reputation for high‑quality care, teamwork, and clinical support. The post is ideal for both newly qualified and experienced GPs seeking a well‑supported, flexible role within a collaborative environment. We have potential flexibility around start date and number of sessions.

Main duties of the job

  • 4, 5 or 6 sessions per week (days flexible by agreement preferably including Thu & Fri)
  • Typical session: ~14 - 15 patient contacts (mix of face‑to‑face and telephone)
  • Structured admin time built into the session
  • Home visits shared across the team, with support from multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Duty system supported by GP team and wider MDT
  • Use of SystmOne clinical system

You will undertake the full range of GP duties, including consultations, clinical decision‑making, prescription management, and clinical administration.

We are a GMS training practice serving over 12,000 patients, with a stable and experienced multidisciplinary team including GP partners, registrars, ANPs, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and skilled nursing and administrative staff. Rated Good by CQC (October 2023). Strong QOF performance and active involvement in clinical research. Member of Ashfield North PCN, supporting collaborative working across the locality. Wide‑ranging services including minor surgery and contraception clinics.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date
  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
  • Commitment to life‑long learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • GP trainer would be an advantage
  • Possible interest in women's health, contraception and family planning
  • Full driving licence
  • Ideally located in a reasonable travel distance to the Practice with a full driving licence

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation, when appropriate
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
