Opportunities have arisen within our Roving Night Support Service; we are looking for Care Workers to support clients in the community across the Accrington, Blackburn, Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, and Rossendale areas.

Responsibilities

  • Visit nominated adult clients, at times directed by care coordinators and management.
  • Provide personal care to clients.
  • Provide medication, meals/drinks, repositioning and domestic support to clients.
  • Share necessary and appropriate information with supervisors.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Fully comply with company policies, procedures and approved practices, and promote the aims of the company.
  • Participate in induction training and regular in‑service training programmes, as directed by managers or supervisors.
  • Use your own vehicle or the company manual vehicle; a clean driving licence is required. Company vehicles can be provided with proof of a clean driving licence, but employees will still need their own cars if company cars are unavailable.
  • Work between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am, 7 days a week, on a 4 on 4 off rolling pattern.
  • Work in pairs while travelling from house to house; teamwork is essential.
  • Visits may be short (e.g., toileting, repositioning, medication) or longer as required.

Requirements

  • A caring nature, good personal values, and a will to do well.
  • An enjoyment of helping people and a desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A positive and can‑do attitude.
  • Experience in the care industry is preferable but not essential; full induction/training will be given to those new to the care sector.
  • A driving licence and the use of own car required.
