Job responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to patients' individual dietary needs.
- Cook and serve healthy meals for staff, patients, families, and visitors in our on-site café.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Oversee the safe use of kitchen equipment in line with hygiene standards.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Support our hospitality training programme by preparing food for courses.
- Provide guidance and support to catering assistants and volunteers.
- Manage stock levels and coordinate food orders with suppliers.
- Deliver a professional, caring, and efficient service at all times.

- Has a friendly, positive, and reliable approach.
- Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Is organised, self-motivated, and able to manage their time effectively.

Qualifications:
- Holds a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and Allergen training.
- Is willing to learn, or already has knowledge of, IDDSI frameworks for dysphagia.
