Willowbrook Care Home is a specialist service in Birmingham, providing high quality care for up to 75 residents living with dementia, mental health conditions and complex needs. The home delivers clinically led, person centred care within a structured and supportive environment, promoting independence, stability and overall wellbeing.

Contract:

  • Contracted to 37 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview:

As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs. Your role plays an important part in daily life, providing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.

You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements, including modified diets where required. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that meet both nutritional and clinical needs.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service, ensuring a safe, efficient and well organised kitchen environment at all times.

What We Are Looking For:

  • City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Understanding of dietary requirements, including modified or specialist diets, is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive and reliable approach
