We're looking for a General Manager for a community pub in Brynmawr. Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package. Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels.
The Willow Tree is a thriving community pub at the heart of Brynmawr, ideally positioned within a busy retail park and adjacent to a large residential estate. A true local favourite, the pub benefits from strong regular trade and a welcoming atmosphere, generating impressive weekly sales of around £19,000, with a healthy 60/40 wet-led split. Its loyal customer base and established reputation provide an excellent platform for a General Manager looking to build on existing success while creating new opportunities to grow the business.
The pub operates from a single-bar trading area and offers popular community-focused entertainment including a pool table and darts board, making it a hub for local teams, social groups and regular guests. Outside, a dedicated children's play area helps attract families and broadens the pub's appeal throughout the week. With strong community links, a great location and a well-balanced customer demographic, the Willow Tree offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic and customer-focused General Manager to lead a successful business and make a real impact within the local area.
The role is further enhanced by generous private accommodation comprising three bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom, providing a comfortable home alongside the opportunity to run a well-established and profitable pub.
As a General Manager you'll:
- Care about finding, growing and engaging your team.
- Be accountable for running all aspects of your pub.
- Be passionate about doing the right thing for your staff and your customers.
- Dream big and think differently about new ways to increase sales and growth.
- Celebrate and create a buzz by sharing enjoyable experiences.
