What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be working for a well-established, specialist Insurance Broker, reporting directly to the CEO.
  • You’ll monitor and interpret regulatory developments across a global office footprint including the UK, EU, Middle East and U.S.
  • You’ll maintain and update the compliance framework, ensuring local regulatory compliance in each jurisdiction.
  • You’ll implement and ensure compliance with the Financial Crime framework and ensure financial crime risk is embedded in new product approvals.
  • You’ll also own and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including the firm’s risk register, risk appetite, and control effectiveness reviews.
  • You also operate as the data protection SME for the business.

What you’ll need

  • You’ll be an experienced senior compliance professional with strong general insurance experience, ideally with a broker.
  • You’ll have an excellent understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, including UK ICOBS and EU IDD frameworks as well as Financial Crime regulations in the UK and EU.
  • Previous international experience would be advantageous as would experience of working in an AR model.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are a prerequisite for this role.
