Looking for your first Head of Compliance & MLRO position?
Or perhaps you’re looking for your next leadership challenge within a fast-growing, ambitious firm.
You’ll be working for an established, market-leading firm that is growing fast, both here in the UK and internationally, operating in a currently unregulated area of the Financial Services market.
As Head of Compliance & MLRO you’ll be responsible for ensuring the business operates in full alignment with UK and international money laundering regulations.
It’s an ideal first Head of Compliance & MLRO role but one that will also offer plenty of challenge for someone already experienced at this level.
Managing a small, settled team, you’ll maintain and enforce the firm’s AML and KYC due diligence policies, ensuring they are robust and up to date. You’ll oversee the Client Onboarding process, ensuring all AML and KYC procedures are followed and sign-off on escalated cases that require additional scrutiny.
You’ll also regularly review and update Financial Crime policies to reflect any changes in UK and international legislation and drive a Compliance culture across the business by delivering training and providing advice and guidance to other departments.
There’s plenty of scope to drive business process improvements and efficiencies to support ongoing growth. The firm is keen to embrace technology including AI in order to do so, and so we would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with a genuine interest in this field.
You’ll have strong experience in a senior Financial Crime role with broad experience across CDD, EDD, PEPs and Sanctions screening, Transaction Monitoring, SARs reporting, Fraud etc., having an excellent working knowledge of relevant regulations.
We’re interested in applications from across the Financial Services spectrum and you’ll also ideally have managed a small team previously. A proven track record of business process improvement would be advantageous.
This is a predominantly office-based role, although there will be some flexibility for home working once you’re settled and proven in the position. The firm’s offices are right next door to New Street Station in Birmingham City Centre and so ideal for public transport links.
