Senior Financial Crime Manager / Deputy MLRO

Payment Services

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid, 1-2 days a week in the office)

Salary: To £70k + benefits

This is effectively an MLRO designate position. Prove yourself and the promotion to MLRO will be yours.

And so, if you’ve hit a glass ceiling in your current role, this role offers you the chance to quickly smash right through it.

You’ll be working for an established Payment Services provider that has been enjoying strong growth, leading to the creation of this new role.

You’ll play a pivotal role in protecting the business from Financial Crime risks, ensuring the business operates with integrity and resilience. You’ll develop and implement a robust Financial Crime prevention framework tailored to evolving risks in the payments sector.

You’ll focus on leading AML and CTF initiatives, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and strengthening internal safeguards against Financial Crime. You’ll also act as the primary point of contact with regulators, law enforcement and Financial Intelligence Units for AML and CTF matters.

You’ll develop and implement the Financial Crime and Compliance strategy in conjunction with the Compliance Director, working to evolve the firm’s approach to Financial Crime Risk Management as the business scales.

In addition, you will hold the FCA Payment Services Directive (PSD) role and will need to pass the HMRC ‘Fit and Proper Test’.

You’ll have strong experience in a senior Financial Crime role within the Financial Services arena. Payments experience will be of interest but is by no means essential. It is imperative that you possess really broad Financial Crime experience including Transaction Monitoring, SARs reporting, Fraud etc. and have an excellent working knowledge of relevant regulations. You’ll also be happy operating in a very hands-on capacity.
