Part-time Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO (SMF17) - Consumer Lending

London (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)

£90k - £110k FTE

Looking for a part-time role that will naturally develop into a Head of Compliance (SMF16) position?

That’s what’s on offer here.

This established consumer lender is under new leadership and is geared for significant growth over the next few years.

As the business grows and enters new markets, this role will become an SMF16 position. We’re talking 12-18 months down the line.

This is a part-time role, 3 days a week, with 2 of those days spent in the firm\'s London office.

Sitting within 2nd line and reporting into the CEO, you’ll be the sole Compliance specialist within the business at this time, with the scope to build a small team as the business grows.

You’ll lead the core compliance initiatives and the company’s control framework by building relationships with key stakeholders, promoting an ethical working environment and successfully driving through regulatory change.

You’ll provide regulatory advice, guidance and challenge to the business, promote a culture of continued improvement in the quality of the customer experience and ensure the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the business.

You’ll be the Consumer Duty lead for the business and will also take on MLRO (SMF17) responsibilities.

You’ll an experienced senior Compliance professional from the consumer lending arena and will be familiar with the regulations impacting this sector, including CONC and Consumer Duty in particular.

Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite for this role.
