Our client is seeking dedicated and reliable Cleaners to join their team. As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in various settings, including offices, residential buildings, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of occupants and visitors.

Location: Wembley, United Kingdom

Salary: Competitive, in accordance with industry standards and experience.

Job Duties:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, carpets, and upholstery.
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to sanitize surfaces, including doorknobs, light switches, and common touchpoints, to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures, replenish supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, hand towels), and ensure restrooms are well-maintained and odor-free.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a clear and streak-free appearance.
  • Clean kitchen appliances, countertops, sinks, and tables. Ensure appliances and utensils are clean and ready for use.
  • Polish furniture, fixtures, and metal surfaces to maintain a shiny and attractive appearance.
  • Strip, wax, and buff floors to maintain a clean and glossy finish. Conduct spot cleaning and stain removal as needed.
  • Collect, wash, and replace linens, towels, and other textiles as required, ensuring clean and fresh supplies are readily available.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory. Report any shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Interact professionally with clients, tenants, or visitors and address any special cleaning requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain cleaning logs, inspection records, and incident reports as required by the client or employer.
  • Collaborate with fellow cleaners and team members to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not always required; training may be provided.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience preferred but not essential.
  • Drivers preferred.
  • You must be over 18 to apply (branch dependant).
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Flexibility on travel - some shifts may require you to drive or have access to public transport (Branch Dependant).
  • A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
