We are recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced and proactive Early Years Educator to work within our mixed-age class, supporting children in their final Pre-School year, on a year-round basis.

We would ideally like applicants to have qualified as an Early Years Teacher, with experience as a Reception Class Teacher or in leading a Kindergarten/Pre-School.

However, we also warmly welcome applications from candidates who hold a degree in Early Years and have relevant experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide an enhanced DBS check and relevant references.

Your duties will include planning and activity delivery to the EYFS and our CHILD-based Nursery curriculum, as well as both indoor and outdoor play.

You must have an excellent understanding of child development, the ability to follow and contribute to our policies and procedures, and enjoy maintaining and developing a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Our chosen candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, a caring and calm attitude, and the ability to form close relationships with children, parents and staff.

It is desirable, though not essential, that candidate has experience using online learning journals, and you will preferably hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and have attended recent safeguarding training - although these can both be provided.

  • Our team receive one free hot lunch each week, along with a fully stocked fruit basket to enjoy during the day, plus free tea and coffee.
  • Team building experiences throughout the year.
  • NHS Top-Up scheme for team members who stay with us for more than two years.
  • Dedicated staff Wellbeing Champions to support you whenever you require, along with access to a 24/7 telephone counselling service.

Pay: Up to £17.75 per hour. Hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications.

Note: the position is dependent upon an enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.

Due to capacity limitations, we are unable to offer childcare places for the children of staff members or apprentices.
