Willow Grove Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed, compassionate, and highly organised Pastoral Support Officer to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and personal development of our students. Our specialist school caters to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and has adopted strong attachment and trauma-informed practices (ATP) as the basis for working with its pupils.
The successful candidate will support the Pastoral Care Lead to manage the pastoral care provision within the school, working closely with students, families, staff, and external agencies to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and able to thrive both personally and academically.

- A proven track record of supporting the pastoral care function in a school.
- A drive and enthusiasm for the profession.
- Ability to work confidentially and sensitively with others to build effective working relationships.
- High-quality people skills to deal with challenging situations.
- Ability to use initiative to respond to and resolve challenges.
- A knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
- Previous experience of working in line with legislation such as KCSIE, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Early Help legislation.

- Full UK driving license would be advantageous.
