Willow Alexander Gardeners (House of Willow Alexander Group) is looking for a design-led operator—someone who can take full ownership of landscaping projects and turn ideas into beautifully executed gardens. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role.
You will lead projects from initial client conversation through to final build, managing everything in between — design development, technical planning, landscapers on site, and client relationships. You will become the central point of control across multiple projects, ensuring that what is designed is delivered properly, efficiently, and to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Design & Client Handling
- Lead client consultations and site visits
- Develop garden concepts, layouts, and planting schemes
- Present designs clearly and confidently to clients
- Guide clients through the full journey from idea to completion
- Project Management & Delivery
- Take ownership of landscaping projects from start to finish
- Manage landscapers and subcontractors on a day-to-day basis
- Coordinate materials, schedules, and logistics
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Maintain quality control across all stages of the build
- Technical Oversight
- Produce or oversee technical drawings and specifications
- Understand levels, drainage, hard landscaping, and build detail
- Bridge the gap between design intent and on-site execution
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and decisively
- Commercial Awareness
- Support quoting, pricing, and cost control
- Manage project budgets and protect margins
- Identify efficiencies in how projects are delivered
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in garden design and landscaping project management
- Ideally has run their own business or operated independently
- Strong understanding of both design and build processes
- Confident managing teams and leading on site
- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Good commercial awareness — understands cost, margin, and delivery
- Full UK driving licence required
