If you are ready to make a real impact on students' lives and are prepared for a rewarding challenge, this is the opportunity for you! About the School: This school is committed to providing exceptional support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs, many of whom also have co-occurring medical conditions. These include: * Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) * Specific Learning Difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia * Speech, Language, and Communication Needs * ADHD, Autism, ADD * Visual and hearing impairments The Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant or LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting small groups of students (maximum of eight) to help them engage in their learning and achieve their potential. You will work alongside an allocated Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant to deliver tailored support in both classroom and 1:1 settings, with additional support provided when needed. Your role will involve not only assisting with academic work but also supporting the emotional and social development of students. You will help build trusting relationships, enabling pupils to feel valued and empowered, ultimately boosting their self-esteem and engagement with learning. Important Considerations: This role requires strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Due to the nature of some of the students' additional needs, there may be instances of abusive language or challenging behaviour. We need individuals who are not easily offended, who can respond appropriately and constructively to such situations while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. What we’re looking for: * Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs * A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach * Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a team * A desire to support each pupil’s academic, emotional, and social growth * Level 2 or above in childcare or transferable skills What we offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Ongoing professional development and training opportunities * A supportive and inclusive work environment * The chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students * Competitive rates of pay The school’s primary focus is to help all pupils, regardless of their starting points, reach their academic, emotional, and social potential. By challenging pupils and staff to take the next steps in their personal development, the school aims to prepare students to become confident, functional members of society. If you're passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, have strong behaviour management skills, and are ready to contribute to a school where each student’s success is a priority, apply today and join the Willo Education team! We look forward to hearing from you! Willo Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects every candidate to share this commitment.
