Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of delivering a defined package or work area on site.
- Support the Construction Manager / Project Lead by managing supply chain partners to ensure safe, sustainable, on-time, on-budget delivery to the highest quality.
- Consistently exceeding customer expectations.
- Build strong working relationships by understanding client priorities and maintaining a professional, considerate approach.
- Support the Construction Manager during preconstruction by contributing to plans and key project documentation.
- Produce and manage short-term programmes (2–4-week lookaheads), monitor daily progress, resolve issues proactively, and highlight risks or opportunities to keep delivery on schedule.
- Coordinate works and supply chain activities to maintain smooth workflow between trades and uphold excellent site presentation.
- Manage operations efficiently to reduce waste, avoid non-recoverable costs, and support commercial success by raising concerns promptly with the commercial team.
- Ensure all works comply with design specifications and project requirements.
- Oversee project handover, ensuring snag-free completion.
- Support defect management during the defects liability period to achieve timely ‘Making Good Defects’ certification.
- Lead by example, promoting a positive, proactive, can‑do attitude.
Proven track record as a Site Manager / Building Manager in the successful delivery of projects across various sectors. Computer literate with proven use of Microsoft Office suite, MS Project or ASTA. Ability to use Common Data Environments e.g. Nialli, Dalux, Fieldview etc. The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications. Proven experience in managing the supply chain, direct employees, consultants and liaising with the end customer/client reps. Appropriate CSCS card, SMSTS certificate and First Aid at Work certificate. Valid driving licence.
